How Cambridge Works: Science Takeover at City Hall!

April 20 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Free

It’s a science takeover at City Hall – The City of Cambridge is hosting a Science Fair at City Hall!

The community (all ages welcome – activities for everyone!) is invited to join us and transform data in the Open Data Portal, create their own GIS data layers, build a mini house while learning about affordable housing, charge a lightbulb using pedal power, learn about real-life forensics, talk to Emergency Communications about how 9-11 works, do activities around safely navigating fires, participate in a curbside compost relay race, learn about libraries, take apart a street light and figure out how it works, help the Glocal Challenge winners from CRLS prototype their winning proposals, play with a working watershed model, and play our transportation trivia game!

Lectures will take place all day in the Sullivan Chambers (where City Council meets) on building your own rain garden, composting, energy efficiency, urban agriculture, and transportation.

Check out the full details and schedule in our upcoming event page.
