Children with disabilities have a rich opportunity to use their differences to learn to design for their bodies in ways an able bodied person could never imagine. Children 10+ have been invited to join a 2 day mini workshop at the Microcoft Garage in Cambridge. Interested in the full two-day workshop? Learn more here
Co-founders Jen Lee Reeves and 13-year-old Jordan Reeves and program director Kate Ganim introduce the concept of teaching kids how to develop designs and concepts that build off of each child’s differences. The curriculum focuses on helping each kid identify a challenge or a concept through design thinking and teaching them how to develop and build those concepts into reality. Ganim will also share how Born Just Right has developed a hands-on workshop into a classroom curriculum to teach all students personal design and client-based design.
