Friday, April 14 – Sunday, April 23, 2017:  Check out the 2017 Program

Thank you for joining us at our signature 10-day Festival, packed with hands-on events that encourage curiosity and invite exploration. This year we had over 200 events, with a wide range of programming that inspired kids and adults to celebrate science, dive deeper and—as always—be curious!

We explored questions of the moment and for the ages. What’s behind “fake news” and where’s it going? Is there other intelligent life in our galaxy? How are leading journalists grappling with climate change? Events ranged from small and intimate (hone your iPhone photography skills) to our expo-style Science Carnival & Robot Zoo.

Cambridge Science Festival offered a chance to peek behind the curtain at cutting-edge research happening in our community. Attendees learned what zebrafish can teach us about cancer and blood disease and joined MGH and local biomedical researchers for a Research Rumble showdown.

There was family fun each day and plenty of events for the 21+ crowd, too. Brattle Theater hosted a live podcast taping of You’re the Expert and MIT Museum offered guests the chance to explore the psyche of superheros with a cocktail in hand.

Thank you to our curious community, generous sponsors, program producers and event hosts. The Festival wouldn’t be possible without the energy and enthusiasm of countless volunteers and our small team of dedicated staff. Thank you for joining 2017’s madcap STEAM celebration!

Stay Curious,

Cambridge Science Festival Team
