April 21 @ 11:00 am - 4:30 pm

Free

Akamai delivers a large percentage of the world’s web traffic every day on behalf of a range of popular web and media sites. Come learn how the Internet works, and how Akamai makes the Internet faster and more reliable.

Three sessions are offered: 11am, 1pm & 3:00pm.  Each session lasts approximately 2 hours.

Each session has two parts:

  1. How the Internet Works – Ever wonder what the Internet is, and how it works? In this hands-on activity, learn what happens between when you enter an address in your web browser and when the website loads.
  1. Tour the Akamai Network Operations Command Center (NOCC)! – Learn how Akamai makes your experience using the Internet faster while touring the Network Operations Command Center (NOCC) at the Akamai world headquarters.

Limited to 20 attendees per session. If there are open slots for any session, on-site registration is possible, but not guaranteed.

Cost: Free. Pre-registration strongly recommended. Register here.
