Learn about Boston’s technological history, as well as its history in general, on this tour of Boston’s bridges led by bridge and tunnel engineer Reed Brockman. The tour begins at the Museum of Science and covers the old Charles River Dam structure, the elevated Green Line viaduct, the North Bank Pedestrian Bridge, the North Station Draw Bridges, the Zakim Bridge and surrounding Central Artery structures, and for the die-hards, will continue on along the Rose Kennedy Greenway and Harborwalk to talk about the Tip O’Neill Tunnel and the Fort Point Channel bridges.
On Thursday, we will do the tour in reverse. Wear comfortable shoes, and feel free to drop off at any time!
Cost: Free. Rain or shine, but may be shortened in poor weather.
